What it covers

• The headline numbers — total revenue, total expenses, total profit and average profit margin as KPI cards that recalculate on every filter change.
• Year-over-year variance — three comparison cards showing revenue, expenses and profit for 2026 against 2025, each with the absolute difference alongside the percentage. The expenses card is configured so a decrease reads as an improvement rather than a decline.
• Revenue and profit over time — both series plotted together across the months of the year, so margin compression shows up as the gap between the lines narrowing.
• Department comparison — revenue against expenses side by side for every department, plus the top ten departments ranked by revenue.
• Quarterly split — revenue share across quarters, with the total in the centre.

How to read it

Filter by year, quarter, month, department or region using the slicers along the top. Selections apply to every chart at once — narrow to one department and the KPIs, variance cards and monthly trends all recalculate for that department alone.
